01Who We Are and How to Reach Us

ZAMN Mobile Phones & Accessories Trading Co. L.L.C, trading as ZAMN Mobiles, is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through zamnmobiles.com and through our shop in Deira, Dubai.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 regarding the Protection of Personal Data and its implementing regulations.

02Scope of This Policy

This policy covers personal data we collect when you:

• Browse or search zamnmobiles.com;
• Place an Order, or ask us about a Product;
• Contact us by WhatsApp, telephone, email or our enquiry form;
• Request a delivery, a return, a refund, or warranty assistance;
• Visit our shop and give us your details for an invoice or a warranty record.

It does not cover the practices of third-party websites or applications that we link to. Those services have their own privacy policies.

03Personal Data We Collect

Information you give us

• Identity and contact data — full name, mobile number, WhatsApp number, email address.
• Delivery data — delivery address, building or apartment details, landmark and any delivery instructions.
• Order data — the Products you buy, quantities, prices, invoice number, device IMEI or serial number, warranty registration details.
• Billing data — billing name and address, payment method type and the last four digits of a card as shown on our gateway records.
• Communications — the content of your messages to us, enquiry-form submissions, return requests and complaints.
• Identification — where required for a high-value collection, a warranty claim or a refund, we may need to sight an Emirates ID or passport. We record only what is necessary to verify the transaction.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, screen size and language settings.
• Usage data — pages viewed, products viewed, search terms used on the Site, time spent, and referring page.
• Local storage data — your shopping cart contents, your chosen site theme, and a cached copy of our catalogue, all stored in your own browser.

04How and Why We Use Your Data

We rely on the following bases for processing: performance of a contract with you (fulfilling your Order); compliance with a legal obligation (tax, accounting and consumer protection law); our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security, improving our service), balanced against your rights; and your consent (marketing messages, which you may withdraw at any time).

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

05Payment Information

Card payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant payment service provider. When you pay by card, your card details are entered into the provider's secure environment and transmitted directly to them over an encrypted connection. ZAMN Mobiles does not receive, view or store your full card number, expiry date, CVV or PIN.

We receive only a transaction reference, the outcome (approved or declined), the amount, and a masked identifier such as the last four digits and card brand. We keep those records to reconcile payments, issue refunds and resolve disputes.

Our payment provider acts as an independent controller for the card data it processes, under its own privacy policy and under the rules of the card schemes and the Central Bank of the UAE.

06Cookies and Local Storage

The Site uses a small number of technologies stored on your own device:

• Local storage (essential) — keeps your shopping cart, your selected site theme, and an offline cache of our product catalogue so the Site loads instantly and works when your connection is poor. This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us as a profile.
• Third-party service cookies — our infrastructure providers (Google Firebase, Cloudinary, Google Fonts, Cloudflare) may set cookies or use similar identifiers to deliver content and maintain security.
• Analytics — where enabled, we use aggregate analytics to understand traffic patterns. This does not identify you personally.

You can clear local storage and block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage will stop the cart and theme selection from working correctly.

07Who We Share Your Data With

We share personal data only where it is necessary, and only with parties who are bound to protect it:

• Payment service providers — to process payments, refunds and chargebacks.
• Delivery and courier partners — your name, address and contact number, so your Order can be delivered.
• Technology providers — Google Firebase (database and hosting of catalogue and order data), Cloudinary (product image hosting), and our website hosting provider.
• Manufacturers and authorised service centres — where you make a warranty claim and your details are needed to register or process it.
• Professional advisers — accountants and auditors, for tax and statutory reporting.
• Government and regulatory authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own marketing purposes.

08International Transfers

Some of our service providers, including cloud hosting and image delivery, operate servers outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with UAE data protection law, including through contractual commitments with those providers and by transferring only the minimum data necessary.

09How Long We Keep Your Data

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.

10How We Protect Your Data

• The Site is served over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Payments are handled entirely within a PCI-DSS compliant gateway environment.
• Access to our administration panel and database is restricted to authorised personnel and protected by credentials that are changed periodically.
• We apply the principle of least privilege — staff and service providers see only the data they need.
• Physical records kept at our shop are stored securely.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take appropriate technical and organisational measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the competent authority as required by UAE law.

11Your Rights

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how your personal data is processed;
• Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy;
• Rectify data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
• Erase your data, where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it;
• Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
• Portability — receive the data you provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format;
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
• Complain to the competent UAE data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email Abdorahman.h.ahmad@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Request”. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act. We respond within 30 days. There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly excessive or repetitive.

Please note that we may need to retain certain records — invoices in particular — even after an erasure request, where the law requires us to keep them.

12Marketing Communications

We only send promotional messages if you have asked to receive them. Every marketing message includes a simple way to opt out, and you can also reply “STOP” on WhatsApp or SMS, or email us at any time. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an Order you have placed, such as delivery updates or invoices.

13Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

14Links to Other Sites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including manufacturer pages, social media platforms and WhatsApp. Clicking such a link takes you outside our control. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.

15Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. The version published on this page is the version in force, and the “last updated” date shows when it last changed. Where a change is significant, we will make it prominent on the Site.
